District 36 (Region 3) – Freemasons NSW & ACT
IDENTITY OF THE ORGANISATION
The Privacy Act (Cth.) regulates the collection, security, quality, use and disclosure of personal information. District 36 (Region 3) considers that it is subject to the Privacy Act from 21 December 2001.
PURPOSES FOR WHICH INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
Information provided by you to the District 36 (Region 3) will be used in the following ways:
• Maintain your individual membership record and a comprehensive membership data base;
• Provide information to you to enable you to access the services and benefits available to you as a member of the district;
• Provide your information to Masonic charities that are associated with, but not part of the district;
• Conduct research in order to identify and analyse the ongoing needs of Freemasons and their families, and to identify future potential members, services and benefits within the district.
ORGANISATIONS (OR TYPES OF ORGANISATIONS) TO WHICH PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USUALLY DISCLOSED
Information provided by you to the district may be disclosed to:
• All Lodges within this district, jurisdiction of which you are a member;
• Any other Lodge within this district or jurisdiction;
• The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution of New South Wales;
• The Whiddon Group (formerly The Frank Whiddon Masonic Homes);
• A Start In Life (formerly The Masonic Youth Welfare Fund);
CONSEQUENCES IF ALL OR PART OF THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IS NOT PROVIDED
If you choose not to provide your personal information to the district when requested then neither the district or Grand Lodge nor any other Lodge may be able to provide services to you.
ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION HELD BY THE GRAND LODGE
You have the right to request access to any information held by the district that relates to you and to correct any information that is inaccurate. Any corrections should be advised in writing to [email protected].
